Nico is a papyrologist and socio-economic historian focusing on Greco-Roman Egypt. After completing his PhD (KU Leuven), he joined the LGPN team to work on volume VIIa. He is currently processing Greek papyri from Lower Egypt and the Fayum. His own onomastic research concerns hybrid names, which combine elements from different cultural and/or linguistic traditions. These fascinating forms shed light on the processes of intercultural contact and societal change in Greco-Roman Egypt.
