Peter Marshall Fraser
(1918-2007)
Peter Fraser, founding editor of LGPN, died on 15 September 2007. Obituaries appeared in the Independent newspaper on 25 September, and in the London Times on 11 October 2007. A commemoration event was held in All Souls College, Oxford on 31 May 2008. On 24 June 2008, a Memorial Colloquium in celebration of his life and work took place at the British School at Athens, organised jointly with the Centre for Greek and Roman Antiquity of the National Research Foundation, Athens.
Peter Fraser's posthumous publications are a paper in the LGPN conference volume Old and New Worlds in Greek Onomastics, and his major study, Greek Ethnic Terminology, published in 2009 by Oxford University Press for the British Academy.
