An Athenian white-ground lekythos found in Gela in Sicily showing two women, one seated playing a kithara, another holding a lyre, sash, mirror and oinochoe. Attributed by J. D. Beazley to the Achilles painter. Around 440 BC. The painter has placed an inscription praising the beauty of an otherwise unknown Alkimedes above the picture:
